2nd Quarter Goals and Critique Calendar

If you're a double credit Photo 3 student,(Photo 3 AP), then you should be aiming to complete 6-8 new works by the end of the quarter. 3-4 works should be for 1st credit (2nd period), while 3-4 works should be completed for the 2nd credit, (Seminar, 3rd period). This means that in a ten week quarter, you should be aiming to finish two new works every three weeks. You should have at least 6-8 works finished for your AP Concentration by the end of the 2nd quarter.

If you're a single credit Photo 3 student (Photo 3 Honors), then you should be aiming to complete 3-4 works by the end of the quarter, one new work every three weeks.

Each of you is now working independently, so you are responsible for managing your time, finishing self-directed shooting assignments, creating and evaluating contact prints, and completing final works. Sketchbook: Propose an Independent Work!

After your independent proposal contract has been approved, you are free to begin your first work! To begin, I'd like you to create a two-page sketchbook entry that visually illustrates an idea/concept for your first independent work. You can organize/design the page as you wish, either by integrating inspiring works by artists/photographers, or simply illustrating your own ideas.

This sketchbook entry will be collected for a 25 point grade on: Thursday, Nov. 13th
